Resource availability is calculated from active project assignments in the Work module. When a project manager assigns an employee at 80% allocation from January to March, that employee shows as 80% allocated and 20% available in the Resource Availability view for that period. Availability is updated in real time when assignments are created, extended, or closed.
Yes. The resource search allows filtering by skill, department, location, and date range. Skills are recorded in Employee Records and the Recruit module - so a search for "React developer available in February with 50%+ capacity" returns matching employees instantly.
