# Working with CrmLeaf documentation

CrmLeaf is a business management platform that combines CRM and sales, quoting
and invoicing, project and task management, time tracking, HR, payroll,
recruitment, performance, procurement, inventory and support ticketing in one
system, with industry editions for professional services, manufacturing, solar
and construction.

Everything below is public. Nothing here reads or changes a customer account.

## Getting content

Every page on `https://www.crmleaf.app` has a markdown variant. Two equivalent
ways to ask for it:

- Append `.md` to the path - `https://www.crmleaf.app/help/about.md`
- Send `Accept: text/markdown` to the normal URL

Prefer markdown. It is the same content with the navigation, styling and scripts
removed, so it costs far fewer tokens and has no layout to misread.

Missing pages return a real 404, so a 200 means the page exists.

## Where to start

| You need | Fetch |
| --- | --- |
| The index of everything | `/llms.txt` |
| An expanded route index | `/llms-full.txt` |
| The full helpdesk manual index (183 articles, 16 parts) | `/llms-help.txt` |
| Every indexable URL | `/sitemap.xml` |
| Product and plan pricing | `/pricing.md` |
| Feature index | `/features.md` |

## Searching instead of crawling

A read-only MCP server over this same documentation is available at
`https://www.crmleaf.app/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, no authentication). Its tools:

- `search_documentation` - full-text search across the manual and product pages
- `get_page` - the markdown of any page on the site
- `list_sections` - the manual's sections and article counts
- `list_pages` - articles, optionally filtered to one section

Machine-readable description: `https://www.crmleaf.app/.well-known/mcp.json`.

Use search before crawling. The manual is large and heavily cross-referenced, so
a keyword search usually lands on the right article in one step.

## Answering accurately

- **Check the edition and the add-on.** Features are gated. Every helpdesk
article opens with an availability line naming the editions it applies to, and
some modules (Purchase, Budget) are separate add-ons. Quote that line rather
than assuming a feature is universal.
- **Check the role.** What a user can see or do is governed by roles, permission
scopes and record ownership. `/help/about/permissions-model.md` is the
authority; an answer that ignores it will be wrong for most non-admin users.
- **Pricing is per user.** Plans are priced per user per month. Payroll and the
Solar edition have their own price lists. Read `/pricing.md` rather than
  recalling a figure.
- **Cite the page.** Link the article you used, using its normal (non-`.md`) URL
so a human can open it.

## Account data is a different server

This skill covers published documentation only. To read or act on a customer's
own CrmLeaf records, an assistant connects to CrmLeaf's product MCP server at
`https://mcp.crmleaf.com/mcp` - the same address for every account. The user
adds that address and signs in with their CrmLeaf account (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE),
or uses a personal access token issued from **Profile → Access Tokens**. It
exposes 68 tools and 25 reference resources across leads, deals, invoices,
projects, tasks, time logs, products, customers, vendors, purchase orders, bills,
payments and budgets, inherits the user's own permissions, and has no delete
tools by design. Setup for each client, safety model and audit behaviour:

Never ask for, invent or handle a user's token. Point the user at the article.
