In detail

How each capability works

Contract Builder

Every contract starts with a type (service agreement, NDA, vendor supply, or any custom type you define), an associated client or vendor, a contract value, start and end dates, and a rich-text body. Bulk quick-actions let you update, share or manage multiple contracts at once from the listing screen.

  • Create a contract against a client or a vendor from one screen
  • Assign a contract type, value, start date and end date
  • Rich-text body editor for the agreement terms
  • Bulk quick-actions for managing multiple contracts at once

Reusable Templates

Contract templates pair with contract types so every new agreement starts from pre-approved language. Define as many types as your business needs - service agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts - and attach a template to each. When someone creates a contract, the template's body is pulled in automatically, reducing errors and keeping legal language consistent.

  • Define contract types and pair each with a reusable template
  • The template body auto-populates when creating a contract of that type
  • Edit the body per contract after creation - the template is a starting point, not a lock

Dual E-Signature

Both parties sign the same contract: the client signs first through the public link, then your company countersigns. Signatures are captured as a drawn signature or as an uploaded signature image - whichever the signer prefers. For teams that require a recognised third-party e-signature provider, a DocuSign integration is available as an add-on.

  • Client signature captured on the public signing page
  • Company countersignature added from inside CrmLeaf
  • Signatures stored as a drawn signature or an uploaded image
  • DocuSign integration available as a paid add-on

Renewals

When a contract is up for renewal, you create a renewal that carries forward the original values and terms and only asks for new dates. The original contract stays as a historical record, and the renewed contract links back to it - so there's a clear chain from the first agreement through every renewal.

  • Renew a contract with new start and end dates
  • Original contract values are preserved automatically
  • The renewed contract links back to the original for a clear audit trail
  • Each renewal can be signed and shared independently
  • New dates only
  • Preserves original values
  • Linked renewal chain
  • Historical record kept

Discussions & Collaboration

Every contract carries threaded discussions with file attachments, so the negotiation context - questions, clarifications, red-line requests, supporting documents - stays alongside the agreement it produced. Team members and stakeholders collaborate in one place instead of scattering context across email threads.

  • Threaded discussions per contract for structured conversation
  • Attach files - red-lines, supporting docs, approvals - directly to the thread
  • Full negotiation history preserved alongside the signed agreement
