OKRs & Key Results

An objective is a qualitative goal the team wants to achieve within a cycle. It is owned by an individual user, a department or a project, which determines where it appears in rollup views and who is accountable for progress.

Each objective has one or more key results: measurable outcomes with a start value, a current value and a target value. You define the metric and CrmLeaf calculates the progress percentage automatically as the current value moves from start toward target.

Objectives carry a progress status of On Track, Behind, At Risk or Completed, so anyone scanning a list can see health at a glance.

Built in

  • User: individual performance goals tied to a person
  • Department: team-level objectives that roll up to company goals
  • Project: execution-focused goals scoped to a specific project
  • Key result: metric name, start, current and target values, with progress calculated automatically
  • User-owned OKRs
  • Department-owned OKRs
  • Project-owned OKRs
  • Metric-driven key results
  • Auto-calculated progress

Check-ins & Progress

A check-in is a progress update on a key result. The owner logs the current metric value, selects a confidence status and adds an optional note. Check-ins create a time-stamped history, so managers and teammates see the trajectory and not just the latest number.

CrmLeaf does not enforce a cadence: some teams check in weekly, others update when the number moves. The performance dashboard flags key results with overdue check-ins so nothing goes stale unnoticed.

Each check-in recalculates the key result's progress and, through rollup, the parent objective's score.

Built in

  • Current value: the latest metric reading
  • Confidence: On Track, Behind or At Risk
  • Note: optional context for the team
  • Timestamp: when the update was logged
  • Progress, objective score and dashboard update as soon as the check-in is saved
  • Log current metric value
  • Confidence status
  • Optional notes
  • Time-stamped history
  • Overdue check-in alerts

Scoring & Rollup

Scoring is automatic and hierarchical. Each key result has a progress percentage derived from its start, current and target values, and the parent objective's score is the weighted average of its key results.

Department views aggregate the scores of every objective that department owns, and company views aggregate across departments. Leadership can see one progress number for the whole organisation, or drill into any department or person to see what is moving the score.

Scores update whenever a check-in is logged, with no batch recalculation or end-of-period processing.

Built in

  • Key result: progress % from start to target
  • Objective: weighted average of its key results
  • Department: average of the department's objectives
  • Company: average across all departments
  • Auto-calculated key result scores
  • Weighted objective average
  • Department rollup
  • Company rollup
  • Real-time recalculation

Meetings & 1:1s

Meetings are built for structured 1:1 conversations between a manager and a direct report, though they work for any two-person meeting. Schedule one with a date, time and optional weekly, bi-weekly or monthly recurrence.

Before the meeting, both participants add agenda items. During it, items are marked as discussed. Action items created from the meeting are tracked on their own and marked as actioned when complete.

Recurring meetings carry undiscussed agenda items and open action items forward to the next occurrence.

Built in

  • Schedule: set date, time and recurrence
  • Prepare: both parties add agenda items
  • Discuss: mark items as discussed during the meeting
  • Act: create action items with owners and due dates
  • Carry forward: open items move to the next meeting
  • Schedulable meetings
  • Recurring cadence

Performance Dashboard

The performance dashboard lives inside Command Centre and gives managers a single screen to monitor performance without opening individual OKR records or meeting logs.

It shows objective progress and scoring trends across the current cycle, flags overdue check-ins, lists upcoming 1:1 meetings and shows department-level rollups so leadership can compare teams at a glance.

Filters scope the view by department, individual, project or time period.

Built in

  • Objective progress: all active objectives with scores and status
  • Scoring trends: trajectory over the current OKR cycle
  • Overdue check-ins: key results past their update window
  • Upcoming 1:1s: the next scheduled meetings for your team
  • Department rollup: aggregate scores by team
  • Objective progress
  • Scoring trends
  • Overdue check-ins
  • Upcoming 1:1s
  • Department rollups
  • Filter by scope

FAQ

Common questions about CrmLeaf Performance Management

  • Each key result tracks a metric with a start value, current value and target value. Progress is calculated automatically as the percentage from start to target. The parent objective's score is the weighted average of its key results, and department or company-level rollups aggregate the objectives underneath them.
