Attach Google Drive and OneDrive fileswithout re-uploading them
The drive integration lets your team attach files that already live in Google Drive or OneDrive to records in CRMLeaf, instead of downloading and re-uploading copies. The document stays in its original location; CRMLeaf just references it.
Built in
- Attach a file from Google Drive or OneDrive directly to a record
- No download/re-upload round trip - the file stays where it lives
- Per-company OAuth, configured by an Administrator only
- Distinct from CRMLeaf's own file storage (local or S3)
How it works
- 01
Enable module
Turn on the Drive Integration add-on module for your account.
- 02
Authorise drive account
An Administrator authorises the connection to Google Drive or OneDrive via OAuth, per company.
- 03
Attach file to record
Anyone can now attach a file already in that drive to a project, lead or other CRMLeaf record.
- 04
File available from the record
The file opens from CRMLeaf but stays stored in its original drive location.
How it's different from CRMLeaf's own storage
Not the same as account storage
This is separate from where CRMLeaf keeps its own uploaded files, which is configured under storage settings (local or S3).
See how it worksPermissions stay in the drive
Access to a file still depends on the permissions set in Google Drive or OneDrive - CRMLeaf doesn't mirror or override them.
See how it worksUse an org-owned account
If the connected drive account belongs to an individual who leaves, the connection and access can break - prefer an account or shared drive the organisation owns.
See how it worksWhere this is used
Attaching files held in Google Drive or OneDrive requires the Drive Integration add-on module, connected by an Administrator. It's used for generic record attachments - for example, site photographs attached to a project record.
