Availability: All editions. The mobile app is part of the CrmLeaf platform and is available for Android and iOS (application package com.crmleaf.erp). It can also be used as a progressive web app (PWA) in a mobile browser. Which screens you see inside the app depends on your account's product edition, the add-on modules enabled for your account, and your own permissions.

Overview

The CrmLeaf mobile app is the field-and-office companion to the web application. It gives you your CRM, work, finance, HR self-service and support records on a phone, so field and travelling users can clock in, update records and act on notifications away from a desk. It uses the same CrmLeaf account as the web application - there is no separate mobile registration.

This article explains how to install the app, sign in for the first time, and confirm that you are working in the correct account.

How It Works

The app is a client for CrmLeaf's own API. It signs you in against your CrmLeaf account, receives an authentication token, and then sends that token with every request. Because the backend answers as you, the app shows exactly the records your role and permissions allow.

Install Sign in Token issued Account details loaded Navigation rendered

  • Authentication uses token-based access. Your session on the device is tied to that token.
  • The API response includes your account's product type. The app reads this value and renders Solar CRM screens for Solar accounts, or standard CRM navigation for other editions.
  • Add-on modules that are not enabled for your account, and modules where your permission scope is none, do not appear in the app.
  • On Android, the app can prompt you to install a newer version when one is available.

Who Can Use This Feature?

User

  • Install the app on a personal or company device.
  • Sign in with your existing CrmLeaf credentials.
  • Use the modules your Administrator has granted you.

Access depends on the modules and role assigned by your Administrator.

Prerequisites

  • An active CrmLeaf user account. If you have not been invited yet, ask your Administrator to add you.
  • Your CrmLeaf sign-in email address and password.
  • An Android or iOS device with an internet connection.
  • If two-factor authentication is enforced for your account, access to your authentication method.

For Users

Step 1: Install the app on your device

What to do: Install the CrmLeaf app from your device's application store. If you prefer not to install an application, open CrmLeaf in your mobile browser and add it to your home screen to use it as a progressive web app.

What to verify: The installed application is CrmLeaf (package com.crmleaf.erp) and it opens to a sign-in screen.

Step 2: Sign in with your CrmLeaf credentials

What to do: Enter the email address and password you use for the CrmLeaf web application, then **Submit** the sign-in form. Complete two-factor verification if your account requires it.

What to verify: Sign-in completes and the app opens to its home area.

Step 3: Confirm you are in the correct company and organisation

What to do: If your email address belongs to more than one CrmLeaf company, confirm which company and organisation the app has opened before you enter data.

What to verify: Records you recognise from the web application appear in the app.

Step 4: Review the navigation you have been given

What to do: Open the app's navigation and check which areas are available to you - attendance and time, CRM (leads, deals, clients), work (tasks, projects, events, notes, notice board, feedback), finance (invoices, estimates, expenses, payslips), HR self-service (employee directory, leave requests, profile, travel reimbursement), support tickets, and - in Solar accounts - solar site and dispatch screens.

What to verify: Any area you expect but cannot see is either an add-on your account does not have, or a module your role does not include.

Step 5: Keep the app up to date

What to do: On Android, accept the in-app update prompt when it appears. On iOS, update through the device's normal application update process.

What to verify: The app opens without repeating the update prompt.

Expected Result

The CrmLeaf app is installed, you are signed in to the correct company and organisation, and the navigation shows the modules your role and your account's plan include.

Service Organisation Context

Consultants, engineers and implementation staff spend much of the week at client sites rather than at a desk, and the record of what happened there is often created on a phone. Having CRM, tasks and projects, expenses and HR self-service on the device means a client visit, the time spent and the costs incurred are captured on the day instead of being reconstructed on Friday afternoon — which is what makes approved time and expense dependable enough to bill a client from. Because the app answers with the signed-in user's own permissions, a field consultant sees only their own work. Field teams in every edition use the same app.

Important Notes

  • Menu names and their position can differ between product editions and can be customised for your account, so your sidebar may not match these paths exactly. Use Search or your Quick Access items if you cannot find a screen.
  • The app does not add permissions. Anything you cannot do on the web you cannot do on the phone.
  • Solar screens are rendered only when the account's product type is Solar CRM. They are not a device setting and cannot be switched on from the app.
  • Add-on modules are plan-gated. Confirm with your Administrator that a module is included in your account's plan before expecting it in the app.

Common Scenarios

Example: a field engineer joining an existing account. The Administrator invites the engineer as a user and grants CRM, tasks and attendance. The engineer installs the app, signs in with the invitation credentials, and sees attendance, tasks and leads - but not payroll configuration, because that is an Administrator area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a separate password for the mobile app?

No. The app uses your existing CrmLeaf credentials.

Can I use CrmLeaf on a phone without installing an application?

Yes. CrmLeaf also builds as a progressive web app, so you can use it from a mobile browser.

Why does my colleague's app look different from mine?

Navigation depends on the account's product edition, the add-on modules enabled, and each user's role and permission scopes.

Does the app work if my account is a Payroll and HR account?

Yes. The app is available across editions; it renders standard navigation rather than Solar screens.
