Availability: All editions, but each Command Centre dashboard appears only once it has been switched on for your company by whoever operates your CrmLeaf instance. Nothing is shown until a dashboard has been granted, so the set you see can differ from another company's. What each dashboard shows is further limited by your own permissions, and some subject areas — such as Procurement and Inventory, Recruitment or Payroll data — depend on the matching add-on module being enabled.
What's New NEW
R26.10 · Oct 2026The Command Centre is a suite of eleven role-based analytics dashboards — Sales & CRM, Finance, HR & Payroll, Performance, Projects & Delivery, Resources, Time & Timesheets, Procurement & Inventory, Products, Support and Recruitment. Each is built on your live data, can be filtered by date range and organization, and lets you click a figure to open the records behind it.
Overview
The Command Centre answers "how are we doing?" for one area of the business at a time. Instead of opening several reports and combining them yourself, you open the dashboard for that area — sales, finance, delivery, people, support — and read its key figures and charts on one screen.
Every dashboard is calculated from the records your teams already keep, not from a separate data set, so the numbers move as the underlying work moves. They respect the same visibility rules as the rest of CrmLeaf.
How It Works
Each dashboard shows key figure tiles and charts for its subject area. A shared date range and organization filter narrows what is counted, and clicking a figure drills through to the list of records that make it up, already filtered to match.
Dashboard switched on for your company → Open a dashboard → Set date range and organization → Read tiles and charts → Drill through to the records
- Eleven subject areas. Sales & CRM, Finance, HR & Payroll, Performance, Projects & Delivery, Resources, Time & Timesheets, Procurement & Inventory, Products, Support and Recruitment.
- Live data. Figures come from current records, not sample or cached snapshots.
- Provisioned per company. A dashboard is granted to a company by whoever operates your CrmLeaf instance. Until it is granted it does not appear, so a missing dashboard is usually a provisioning question, not a permission question.
- Date range and organization filters. The same filter pair applies across each dashboard, so you can compare one workspace or period with another.
- Drill-through. Selecting a metric opens the underlying list, already filtered to the same period and organization, so a number can always be traced to the records behind it.
- Company currency. Money figures are shown in your company's currency.
- HR daily report. A separate HR report lets you pick a specific date from a calendar to see that day's HR picture.
- Sample data. New accounts can be seeded with sample data so the dashboards are not empty while real records are still being entered.
Who Can Use This Feature?
Administrator
- Confirm which Command Centre dashboards are switched on for the company, and request any that are missing.
- Make sure the add-on modules behind a subject area are enabled, so its dashboard has data to show.
- Grant roles the permissions they need so leaders can read the dashboards for their area.
User
- Open the dashboards available to their role and filter by date range and organization.
- Click a figure to drill through to the records behind it.
Access depends on the modules and role assigned by your Administrator. A dashboard that has not been switched on for your company does not appear for anyone, whatever their role.
Prerequisites
- The dashboards you need have been switched on for your company.
- Operational records exist in the area you want to analyse — a dashboard cannot show work that was never recorded.
- For add-on subject areas, the relevant module is enabled for the account.
- Permissions on the underlying records that are wide enough for the figures you are accountable for.
For Administrators
Step 1: Confirm which dashboards are switched on
What to do: Open the Command Centre and note which of the eleven dashboards appear. If one you expect is missing, ask whoever operates your CrmLeaf instance to grant it to your company.
What to verify: Every dashboard you were promised appears, and none appear that you did not expect.
Step 2: Enable the modules behind each subject area
What to do: Enable the add-on modules the business uses, such as Purchase, Recruitment or Payroll, so the matching dashboard has records to analyse.
What to verify: The dashboard for that area shows figures once records exist.
Step 3: Give leaders the right permissions
What to do: For each leadership role, set the permission scope on the underlying modules — for
example all on Deals for a head of sales. A dashboard counts only the records its reader is allowed to
see.
What to verify: A head of sales sees team-wide totals, while a representative with
owned scope sees only their own.
For Users
Step 1: Open the dashboard for your area
What to do: Open the Command Centre and choose the dashboard that matches your question, for example Sales & CRM for pipeline or Projects & Delivery for delivery health.
What to verify: The dashboard opens with tiles and charts for that subject area.
Step 2: Set the date range and organization
What to do: Choose the period and, if you work across more than one workspace, the organization you want to analyse.
What to verify: The figures change to reflect the period and workspace you picked.
Step 3: Drill through to the records
What to do: Click a figure you want to understand. CrmLeaf opens the underlying list, already filtered to the same period and organization.
What to verify: The number of records in the list matches the figure you clicked.

Expected Result
You can open the dashboard for your area, filter it to the period and workspace you care about, read figures calculated from live records within your permission scope, and click through to the records behind any number.
Why This Matters for Service Organisations
A services business runs on a handful of questions asked every week: is the pipeline healthy, is delivery on track, who is overloaded, are hours being logged and billed, and are tickets being answered. The Projects & Delivery, Resources, Time & Timesheets, Sales & CRM and Finance dashboards put those answers on separate screens that each read the same operational records, so a delivery lead and a finance lead are never arguing from different spreadsheets. Because every figure drills through to its records, a number in a leadership review can be traced to the projects and time entries behind it.
Important Notes
- Menu names and their position can differ between product editions and can be customised for your account, so your sidebar may not match these paths exactly. Use Search or your Quick Access items if you cannot find a screen.
- A dashboard that has not been switched on for your company does not appear for anyone. If one is missing, the first step is to ask for it to be granted, not to change roles.
- Figures respect your permission scope, so two users can open the same dashboard for the same period and see different totals. This is expected behaviour.
- The date range and organization filters change what is counted. When two people's numbers disagree, compare their filters first.
- A dashboard is only as complete as the records behind it. Work that was never logged does not appear.
- The Command Centre is separate from the earlier tabbed Advanced dashboard (Overview, Project, Client, HR, Ticket, Finance), which remains available, and the existing HR dashboard is still available under the name HR & Payroll Dashboard. The mobile app's Today view is based on the Advanced dashboard.
Common Scenarios
Example: a Monday sales review. A head of sales opens the Sales & CRM dashboard, sets the date range to last month, notices a low conversion figure, and clicks it to open the underlying deals already filtered to that period.
Example: comparing two workspaces. A finance lead with two organizations opens the Finance dashboard, switches the organization filter between them, and compares each workspace's figures for the same quarter.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| A dashboard you expect is not listed | It has not been switched on for your company | Ask whoever operates your CrmLeaf instance to grant it. |
| A dashboard opens but shows little or nothing | The records behind it do not exist yet, or the module behind it is not enabled | Check the date range, then confirm the add-on module is enabled and records have been entered. |
| Your total differs from a colleague's | Different permission scope, date range or organization | Compare filters first, then compare permission scopes. |
| Clicking a figure shows a different number of records | The list has a filter or a permission scope the tile did not | Clear extra list filters and confirm the same date range and organization are applied. |
| Money figures look wrong | Figures are shown in the company currency, not the currency of each record | Check the company currency and the exchange rate settings. |
